Xero Online Cloud Accounting

ARM uses Xero for all our accounting needs;

90% of our clients across multiple industries, also use it for their business accounting.

So, why do we all use Xero?

Xero delivers SME accounting software as a completely cloud-based, online solution.

Access it and run your business from anywhere

Xero allows you to access to your financial data anytime, anywhere. It has a multi-layer approach to ensure advisors and their clients can access records that are accurate and trustworthy from wherever they are.

You can use your smartphone, tablet, PC or Mac to access it, with the Xero mobile app working with iPhone and iPad & Android phones and tablets.

Improve your cashflow

Being able to send invoices online rather than having to send a pdf or send it in the post, means your clients received your invoice and any back-up attached to it immediately and direct to their accounts team. Xero tracks when your client has been sent the invoice, viewed it and paid it if they have the ability to pay you online.

If they don’t pay on time, Xero makes it obvious what is overdue and enables you to send statements directly to your client, making chasing that much easier.

Simply put, the faster the process is, the faster you get paid.

Using Bank feeds in Xero means bank transaction data flows directly into Xero through secure, electronic connections with a large number of banks. Understanding your real-time cash position can be simply achieved by linking Xero directly into your bank accounts and credit cards, simplifying your ability to reconcile payments on the go, meaning you always know where you are financially.

Get paid faster & easier

Xero has numerous tools to help you get paid faster. Not only is the whole process simplified and automated as far as possible, but there are multiple applications to enable online payments, whether via third party apps like PayPal, or by credit card using applications such as Stripe.

Xero automates tasks so you don’t have to

Within Xero, you can set up automated notifications, statements, invoices and reminders to happen behind the scenes for repeating tasks, helping you focus on what’s important in your business.

Small businesses and suppliers can use Xero to transact directly with each other seamlessly, ensuring data accuracy. Large businesses can send invoices that scale directly into Xero, eliminating manual data input, and increasing accuracy.

Collaborate with your advisers

If you use advisers or third parties to help manage or administrate your business, you can give them access and restrict such access as much as you want. This means that everyone is looking at real time, up to date information, at the same time. No more duplication or trying to export or produce reports based on wrong information.

With Xero ASK, your adviser can send you queries and information requests direct from xero linking to the data in Xero. You can respond directly without the need for long email chains filling up your inbox.

Xero grows with your business

Xero has different types of packages available to suit your needs, starting from the Starter Package or Ledger Only, followed by the Standard and Premium packages. You can upgrade at any time, and add to your packages as you need (such as adding the Payroll, Projects or Expenses additions).

Whether you use multiple systems already, Xero allows you to create applications and solutions that tie and integrate directly into Xero, allowing you more freedom to expand.

500+ smart business apps and partners to connect to

Transactions from more than 500 ecosystem partners flow directly and seamlessly into Xero. Xero provides tools to support efficient manual entry of data, with automated coding and speedy recoding.

Your data is protected

Multiple layers of security within Xero, including industry-standard data encryption, firewalls and secure data centres (access to which are strictly controlled and monitored 24/7), back up and protects your data in the cloud. Xero runs daily online backups of all of your data, storing the data via the cloud, in several locations to keep it safe, secure and available whenever you need it.

If your computer or laptop is lost, stolen or broken, your account is backed up and protected online in the cloud. Xero’s online storage means you can log in from any device with an internet connection and you're good to go.

Xero is constantly updating and developing. A lot of accounts systems are only updated at intervals or when an additional fee is paid.

With Xero, you are able to attend monthly webinars to fully understand and receive free training on all the new updates that have been put in place that month.

HMRC Filings & Payroll

For a small business, Xero can be used as a one stop shop. With all your finance data in one place, you are able to use it to run your company’s payroll, submit RTI submissions, VAT returns, and create reports to help create your accounts.

Xero has also built in workplace pension and statutory leave management and enables you to better administrate your employees and your obligations towards them without the need for separate software or manual spreadsheets.

Xero Support, Training & Guidance

If you need help, you can choose to let the support team view your data and provide the advice you need on using Xero. And online support articles and videos are available to help you get moving.

Xero Projects, Expenses & Tracking

You can improve project budgeting and gain critical insights into your business by utilising Xero’s add-on and partner apps tailored to your business. Such as:

Xero Projects

Xero Projects is a streamlined and intutive solution, perfect for smaller business.

WorkflowMax is a highly customisable, end-to-end project management solution.

User Control & Security

No one has access to your organisation’s data unless you invite them into your account. You control what users can see and do in Xero.

As well as inviting your advisers to access your data, you can give your staff access to the areas they need to do their job. You can limit and restrict such access to only what they are required to see.

Two-step authentication adds an extra layer of security to help protect your account. Each time you log in, you’ll need to enter a unique code generated by an app on your smartphone.

Used by many internet banking and online services, two-step authentication makes it much harder for anyone to hack into your account.
